May is looking good with cutting horse events for every one. Cutting Fest is on Saturday May 9, at noon. Perks Ranch will host the championship NCHA / NICHA /AQHA events on May 23rd and 24th. This will be our first AQHA Alliance cutting. Watch for information to be posted or see Jessie at Cutting Fest. Hope to see every one having a good time.

The goal for our club this year is to increase the membership. We have at this time close to 60 members. A current list with names and information shows cutters from 4 states. The growth is increasing, as we have a goal to reach of 100 enthusiasts.

NICHA wants to remind every one to return their Christmas Mountain vacation give away ticket stubs. The drawing will be at  our next show at Perks Ranch. The money raised will provide financial support for events, and awards.

At our annual banquet this year, the awards for Cutting Fest and NICHA/NCHA  will be presented. The format will be different from  our past banquets. On November 7th and 8th the shows will be held at Perks Ranch. The banquet will be held after the show on November 7th. The following day November 8th will start the 2010 brand new point standings.

We are currently in the process of finalizing Clock Tower Resorts facilities for you the membership. The awards dinner will start around 6 p.m. with the room available for those who would like to go sooner . The Clock Tower Resort has  hotel rooms if you would like to stay the night. The evening will have door prizes, trivia, and presentation of awards to the horses and riders who have won their divisions. I would like to invite everyone and their friends to attend. There will be more information as we get closer to the dates.

The race is on with updated points for 2009 winners. I will have copies to bring to the show to keep all competitors informed. Your club still has many events left so get involved and win! Awards are being designed currently. Reminder the absolute beginner will receive a cutting horse trophy. The horse of the year ,(horse with most points) will be presented with an NCHA trophy. If you have any questions about the awards please call or e-mail and I will respond quickly. We have recently added a chat room meeting on Thursday Nights between 6pm and 7pm. Different topics will be discussed each week. What would you like to discuss?

I have met many new people this year and have seen some very good horses. I hope to see you all in May!
